A Question Test allows you to quickly gather consumer feedback by posing one or more questions directly to your target audience. Unlike our other frameworks, you can use Question Tests on their own or as part of a larger testing process. They’re ideal for moments when you want to gain insights into customer preferences, reactions, or opinions... without the need for a full-fledged concept, idea, or message test.
How do Question Tests fit into other frameworks?
Standalone use: If you have questions you need answered, such as which product name resonates most or what features customers find valuable, create a standalone Question Test.
Within other tests: Want deeper context or more comprehensive feedback in another type of test? No problem. You can easily add question blocks to your Idea Tests or Message tests to gather more nuanced insights alongside your concept or message evaluation.
When should I use a Question Test?
Use a Question Test when you need flexible, on-demand feedback. For instance:
Early in the ideation phase, to understand customer pain points before proposing solutions.
Before a product launch, to confirm customer interest or gauge sentiment around a planned feature.
After receiving initial feedback, to clarify open-ended responses or dig deeper into unexpected results.
How much does it cost?
Each question you add, whether as a standalone test or part of another framework, costs 1 credit.
Our Question Tests tend to be used for explorative research. It's an opportunity to gather consumer feedback for your own ad-hoc questions.
You can also incorporate additional questions within an Idea Test or Message Test framework.
