What it is
Presentations builds a complete slide deck from your study results. You set the objective, add the story and audience you have in mind, and it writes the deck through that lens: charts, supporting findings and a narrative that answers the question you set out to answer.
It's for brand managers, marketers, and insights leads who need results in front of stakeholders quickly. If you've spent an evening in PowerPoint rebuilding data that was already on the platform, Presentations replaces that.
Creating a presentation
Open your completed study and select Present in the left-hand bar. You'll see two sets of inputs.
Setup
Objectives and background shape the deck. The more detail you give, the more refined the output.
Objective. Pre-filled from your study brief, and editable before you generate. This is the input that matters most, because the whole deck is written through it. A specific objective gives you a focused deck. A vague one gives you a general summary.
Stakeholders. Who the presentation is for, and the tone of voice you want. For example: CMO, professional and concise. This shapes how the deck is written, not just who it's addressed to.
Story. The story you want to tell. Use this when you already know the argument you're making and you want the deck built around it rather than around the data alone.
Audience. The audience segments or cuts you want the analysis to focus on. For example: GenZ males.
Output settings
Two controls sit here which you can click to edit.
Output
Presentation template. The Ideally template is the default. Upload your own in Guidelines and select it here. The link to Guidelines sits in the panel.
Output type. Choose Exec summary, Presentation or Deep dive. Presentation is the default.
Data
Benchmark. Ideally average is the default. This only applies when you're using Ideally metrics, such as desire. Other benchmarks appear if they're configured for your study.
Focused metrics. All metrics by default. Narrow this if you want the deck weighted towards the ones driving your decision.
Focused questions. All questions by default. Restrict it if only some are relevant to your objective.
Editing your deck
Charts, copy, and slide order are all editable inside Ideally, before anything leaves the platform. Edits are unlimited.
Editing with the assistant
You don't have to make every change manually. The assistant sits alongside your deck and can rework it for you. Ask it in plain language to:
Tighten a slide that's carrying too much text
Rewrite a headline
Pull in a segment cut you left out of the original brief
Reorder a section so the argument builds the way you want it to
It's working from the same study data the deck was built from, so anything it writes is still tied back to your results.
Uploading your brand guidelines
Add your branded templates to Guidelines, to tailor all of your Presentations to your own brand's templates.
Presenting and sharing
Present from Ideally
You can present the deck straight from the platform. Nothing has to be exported or emailed around first.
Export to PowerPoint
Slides and charts remain editable in PowerPoint, so you can edit the data, restyle it or drop it into a bigger quarterly deck without turning it into a screenshot.
