What are monadic and sequential monadic tests?
Monadic: Each respondent sees only one concept or message, providing feedback in isolation without comparing it to others.
Sequential monadic: Respondents view multiple concepts or messages one by one. They evaluate each individually before moving on to the next, ensuring they consider each concept on its own merits.
How does ideally test concepts or messages?
By default, we use a sequential monadic approach. This means respondents see your concepts or messages in a random order, allowing for unbiased comparisons across different audiences. While sequential monadic testing is our default, this method is particularly helpful when you want to examine each concept individually yet allow for unbiased comparative analysis across various concepts.
If you have two or more concepts or messages that are almost identical, we can use a monadic approach instead. Keep in mind that this option will reduce the number of respondents who see each concept or message, potentially impacting the depth of your data.

Refining Your Survey: Audience Filtering and Insights In addition to selecting the right testing methodology, filtering responses can elevate the quality of insights gained from surveys. Implementing qualifying questions, such as asking about purchase intent or product interest, helps ensure the audience is aligned with your target demographic. Additionally, targeted follow-up questions enable deeper analysis, such as determining which options respondents are most interested in or likely to purchase regularly.
